Originally from Canada, I am first and foremost a parent to three delightful and busy humans. The Cayman Islands has been home to our family since 2001. I am a former international school counselor, parent educator, swim coach, and classroom teacher. I have worked with learners spanning all ages, cultural backgrounds, and family situations. I have extensive experience offering targeted support to families, teachers, parents, children, and teens. I am a certified Positive Discipline parent and teacher-educator, guiding workshops, courses, and classes on a variety of topics. For the past ten years, I have worked to strengthen families by addressing relevant social/emotional issues. My individual and group sessions include formal content instruction, role-play, brainstorming, planning, and goal setting.

After many years of teaching classroom lessons, working with small groups and individual school counseling sessions, I am also trained in 'Social Thinking' which offers specialized programs to students who need support in understanding hidden social rules and expectations, flexible thinking, emotional regulation and social problem solving skills. In addition, I am excited to be able to provide small group or individual social and emotional learning lessons/support in a range of topics in a lively and engaging format.
