Originally from the UK, I’ve had the privilege of working and traveling in different countries with childcare always at the heart of what I do, before settling in the Cayman Islands - my sunny home for the past nine years.

I believe the best learning happens when it doesn’t feel like learning at all - when it’s filled with fun, curiosity, and discovery. That’s why my teaching is rooted in play. Whether it’s building castles, diving into stories, or inventing games, play gives children the freedom to explore, imagine, and make sense of the world in their own way.

I have a particular passion for nurturing early literacy and helping children build the confidence they need to develop strong foundations in reading and writing. Learning, in my view, should be joyful and multisensory, engaging children through sight, sound, movement, and play. One programme I especially enjoy using is Jolly Phonics, which offers a fun, structured, and interactive way for children to explore sounds and letters. It equips them with the tools to decode words and become independent readers, and it’s always rewarding to see their eyes light up in anticipation of what’s next.

Children have always inspired me, and I find joy in seeing the world through their eyes. In my previous role as a SENCO, I supported children with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive environments where every child could thrive. I am passionate about celebrating each child’s unique strengths and supporting them in reaching their full potential.

Outside of work, I love spending time with my family, especially keeping up with my adventurous one-year-old son. Together, we’re always chasing new experiences and discovering the world as a family.
